英媒表示，英超豪门曼联正在大规模削减成本开支，预计未来几周将有约250名员工失业。在此背景下，俱乐部的美国季前巡回赛住宿安排引起关注。

曼联此次选择入住比弗利山庄的SLS酒店，其最便宜房间的价格为357英镑/晚（约3330元RMB），明显低于往年的选择。相比之下，2014年范加尔执教时期曾下榻的比弗利威尔希尔酒店，最便宜房间的价格高达870英镑/晚（约8116RMB）。后者曾是电影《风月俏佳人》的取景地，该片女主角朱莉娅-罗伯茨恰好是曼联球迷。

与此同时，在美国进行季前赛的阿森纳则选择了比弗利山庄的四季酒店，那里本周末最便宜的房间价格为773英镑/晚（约7211RMB）。
